today had the wheels down in the front and I was a little surprised that the ufos are only held by the wheel screws. Is that only time?

Íst also auf keinen Fall unüblich.

The previous owner or his workshop will probably have forgotten to replace after the change of the discs the plastered screw...

Hi Thomas!

That's the case with almost every car. If you screw the wheel back on, then the brake disc is fixed again and then the wheel hub, brake disc and rim is a unit. The small screw is only there for the fact that if you take off the wheel the brake disc cannot twist and loosely sits on the wheel hub. That you can use the wheel screws better and not the twisted brake disc the holes for the wheel screws concealed. So in short, the small screw is only there for the brake disc to be set up and if it is missing is not really tragic.

Greetings Riccardo
