Hi, guys.
As is known, our 8-man has a much wider track than in the front. Last season I had 8X18-inch ET35 wheels on it. In addition, I had 25mm front and 15mm track plates (per wheel) on it for a while. This was just right, i.e. the wheels were fairly flush in front and back with the fender edge. Meanwhile, I don't have the rims or the track plates anymore (no expert report for the track plates), but drive the org now. 8x16 SMOs.
Now I would like to have track spreads on it again, and preferably exactly as described above. So now (finally) my question: Does anyone have wider track plates on the front than on the back? Is this something that you can put in with reasonable effort? It always says that you don't get this registered, because it changes the driving behavior in the direction of oversteering? Otherwise I would take the golden center, so 20mm per wheel all around...
Ciao,
Jens

also ichhab jetzt vorn wie hinten 8,5x18ET32 A!Avantgarde drauf und rundum 15mm spurplatten. ALLES EINGETRAGEN!!!

Hi,
Well, that might have been a little unfortunate. It wasn't necessarily about the fact that the rear track is actually bigger than the front track. But it definitely seems that way. And the horizontal distance between the tyre flank and the fender edge is also larger in the front than in the rear, which are just further inside in the wheelhouse in front. This "balance" of 10mm per wheel in the front through the stronger track plates was just m.E. Right.
